How we do?
Holistic Community Transformation:
Meaningful, Purposeful, Sustainable
In order to transform community, it is important to look at it in a holistic and comprehensive manner.
At the core of every community lives a person. We approach a person holistically in the aspects of spiritual, physical, emotional, relational and mental; wanting them to flourish in all of them.
Within and among the communities, there need to be interactions, so that interdependence and reciprocal relationships can be built, support can be given and resources can be shared among one another.
Everyone is subjected to a larger ecosystem, some may be in a well-developed ecosystem, some may be in a broken ecosystem, for instance, the one that the refugees and stateless are in. Hence, it is crucial to close the gaps in the broken human ecosystem by providing an equitable resource and opportunity system as well as creating a just and fair social system for the marginalized communities.
This can only be done with the involvement of different parties including the Malaysia and international social work scenes, local and global faith based organizations, the community-based and led organizations as well as the marginalized communities themselves with the commitment of meaningful, purposeful and sustainable work.
